What Transpired At The 2016 Grammy Awards

The 58th annual Grammy Awards were upon as always around this time of the year. This award recognizes the best in music during a stated period of time. Awards are also given for performance and production in specific genres, as well as for other contributions such as artwork and video. To some it is the dubbed the holy grail of music and represents the impact of one’s music as a whole.

On this platform, we will look at what made headlines on the Christian scene.

Categories:

Since the restructuring of the Grammys four years back, the Christian section was left with five specific categories relating to their genres. This is always not the case.At times they can be merged up. In 2015 Lecrae, a Hiphop/ Rap household name ,won in the Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song category which is predominantly CCM based.

Not everyone is boxed up using that arrangement. Some Christian based artists are still seen in various categories outside the Christian label that the organisers set. We tracked them down and saw if any got hold of the yearned gold-plated Gramophone (check this).

Winners:

All music nominated was released between October 1, 2014 and September 30, 2015. That’s a music scene of roughly a year back, so the best was sourced to get you this list.
